13. A travel to England in October 2003

The last week of October Ulla and I had a marvellous chance to visit friends in Swindon, Wiltshire and London.  We took it!

Flight from Skavsta to Stansted the 26th where we were fetched by car to Swindon. We stayed here till Tuesday and hand some very interesting experiencis from English home and hospitallity. We went round in the area and visited among other things the Victoria heritage plantation Arboreatum of Westonbirt, lovely town of Cirencester and idyllic village of Bibury. The next day we went down to the mysterious and grand Prehistoric Monuments of Avebury; a stone circle of World Heritage dimension well in class with Stonehenge. Fantastic!

Our last days we stayed with friends right in the centre of London Town near Hyde Park. Thanks to great hospitallity we were able to do a lot of  walking and the most interesting thing I mean was visiting the Tate Modern.

We were back home again on Friday after six lovely days below sun and blue skies most of the time.
